NBA 2K players claim they have been scammed out of “At Most $215,000′
NBA 2K is a virtual basketball series that is played on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. Gamers can chat with strangers through in-game voice chats or play online modes.
Launched last month with the hashtag #givetheirmoneyback. Gamers claimed that a prominent player in the community called @StepBackRack (who boasts 3,600 Twitch followers and is also known commonly as ‘Rack’) made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars from Australian as well as New Zealand community, in what is believed to be an investment scam. Another player called @Raangee was involved in the scam.
