Tibet shares borders with India, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar with a total length of more than 4,000 kilometers. There are many trading ports along the 4,000-kilometer-long border. They rely on the naturally formed valleys and passes that can easily cross the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and have become an important land channel for my country to communicate with South Asia. At present, apart from Bhutan (which has not established diplomatic relations) and Myanmar (the junction with high mountains and dense forests is a large tract of virgin forest, it is difficult to pass through), my country has Yadong, Zhangmu, Pulan, Geelong, Riwu and other ports with India and Nepal. Among them, the four largest ports are Yadong Port, Zhangmu Port (closed due to the earthquake), Pulan Port and Gyirong Port.
    Yadong Port
The Yadong Port is located at the junction of China, India and Nepal, and the Yadong area is like a sharp sword going south to South Asia. Yadong County is located in a river valley, with the snow-covered Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the distance, but the Yadong River Valley is full of green, and dense virgin forests cover the mountains along the valley. At present, Yadong Port is the largest land trade between China and India. The port, the natural conditions are also the best.
    Gyirong Port
Gyirong Port is also a trade port leading to Nepal. From the natural topography, it is obviously inferior to the Zhangmu Port mentioned above. In addition, the Gyirong Port is very close to the Zhangmu Port, almost just separated by a mountain. Therefore, Gyirongport is smaller than that of the Zhangmu port. The Jilong Zangbo River in the valley flows out of the country from here.
    Pulan Port
Purang Port is the northernmost port among these four ports. It is located at the junction of China, India and Nepal. There are as many as dozens of passages leading to India and Nepal (including waterways). This is similar to the Yadong port (it is a multi-channel port). Among them, Qiangla Mountain Pass is the most important passage from Pulan Port to India, and it is also the only way for Hindus to go to the sacred mountain-Kang Rinpoche.
